Bijnor Woman Found Dead in Mumbai Garbage Dump; Lover Alleges Murder
A 27-year-old woman from Bijnor was found dead in a Mumbai garbage dump after disappearing from her Santacruz home. Her lover has accused his first wife and her relatives, while police investigate the case.
According to available information, Rukhsana was a resident of Sadakpur village in Bijnor district. She reportedly began a romantic relationship with Mohammad Sakib, who belonged to the same village, around six years ago. When their families learned about the relationship, Rukhsana was married off approximately four years ago in Ravana village, under the jurisdiction of Kanth police station in Moradabad district.
Mohammad Sakib subsequently also got married and moved to Mumbai, where he began working as an auto-rickshaw driver. On July 9 this year, Rukhsana reportedly left her three children behind and went to Mumbai with Sakib. The two began living together in a rented house in the Santacruz area of the city. Sakib's first wife, Shahrin, was also living in Mumbai, and members of her maternal family had arrived in the city some time earlier.
Rukhsana Disappeared While Sakib Was Out Driving His Auto-Rickshaw
According to reports, Sakib left home to drive his auto-rickshaw on September 27. When he returned in the evening, Rukhsana was missing from the house. He subsequently approached Shahrin and members of her maternal family to ask about Rukhsana's whereabouts, but they allegedly failed to provide a satisfactory response.
Sakib then lodged a complaint at the Santacruz police station, expressing suspicion that Rukhsana had been murdered. A search for the woman had been underway since she suddenly went missing. Her disappearance raised concerns about her whereabouts, and the circumstances surrounding it are now part of the investigation following the discovery of her body.
Woman's Body Recovered From Garbage Dump in Bandra
While the search for Rukhsana was continuing, the body of a woman was recovered from a garbage dump in Mumbai's Bandra area on Sunday, October 18. The deceased was subsequently identified as Rukhsana, who hailed from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.
The discovery triggered distress among her family members. Following the identification, Sakib accused his first wife, Shahrin, and her family members of being involved in Rukhsana's murder. However, these remain allegations, and their veracity has not yet been established. The police investigation is expected to clarify the circumstances surrounding her death and whether anyone was involved in the incident.
Rukhsana's Relatives Leave for Mumbai to Collect Her Body
Rukhsana's uncle, Zafaruddin, expressed suspicion that she had been murdered and that her body had been dumped. He said he was travelling to Mumbai to collect her body.
The news of Rukhsana's death has left her family in deep shock. Her relatives are now preparing to receive her body as the investigation into the circumstances of her death continues.
Woman Left Behind Three Children; Cause of Death Under Investigation
Rukhsana was the mother of three children, while Mohammad Sakib reportedly also has two children. Her death has raised questions about what happened after she disappeared from the rented accommodation in Santacruz on September 27.
Police are examining all aspects of the case to establish the circumstances surrounding her death and determine whether anyone played a role in the incident. The post-mortem report and findings of the investigation will be important in establishing the cause of death and assessing the allegations made by Sakib and Rukhsana's uncle. The facts of the case will become clearer as the investigation progresses.
